English Classes

This program was developed to assist those for whom English is not their first language. Classes are held at the Mile End church every Monday afternoon from 1.30pm to 3.30pm during school terms. Tuition is offered in an informal and friendly environment.

Tuition is provided in small groups with only one or two students per tutor. Our students come from a wide range of countries from all parts of the globe. The students are all at different stages on their journey to learn English and this presents some interesting challenges as well as some light-hearted moments!

We have a group of regular dedicated tutors without whom the program could not operate. Some of our tutors are former teachers. This has been of great benefit to the students and has also provided good support to the other tutors.
